We are an integrated and composite textile company, which makes woven velvet fabric, distinctly identified by the designs we create, the colours we fill them with and the precision with which we create the magic on the second most luxurious man-made fabric, only next to silk.With a team of over 300 workforce employed across Mumbai and Gujrat, we specialise in made-to-order designs, and customised B2B supplies to traders, and merchant exporters who translate our hand and machine-crafted fabrics into garments, home décor articles like cushions, quilts and curtains.
We make plain and printed velvets, also using acids to burn the ground to create what the Europeans call Devore, also known as burnout velvets. Using a range of yarns, we create bling with metallic yarns, matt finish with cotton yarns and silk-like hand feel using nylon fibres. What started 4 decades ago, as a small set of 12 weaving machines has swelled into over 200 weaving machines and a full-fledged processing industry which creates magic, well mostly, by incorporating your imaginations into reality.

Our Story
Mr Meghraj Shorewala was a visionary and trailblazer who paved the way for the velvet industry. He began his journey in 1952, trading velvet fabric that was popularly known as MAKHMAL. His son, Mr Ajay Kumar Shorewala, joined the family business in 1974, and together, they established Arr Kay Industries with 25 looms. They worked tirelessly to expand the business, and within a few years, they grew to 250 looms.
With an unrelenting passion for innovation, the third generation of the Shorewala family joined the company. Mr Kapil Shorewala had a keen understanding of changing markets and an eye for detail. He started a process house that enabled them to offer comprehensive services like weaving, dyeing, and printing, all under one roof. In 2004, Sanchi Velvets ® was formed, and it quickly established itself as a leader in the industry.
Sanchi Velvets ® is a composite unit that has become synonymous with quality and excellence. We have in-house weaving, dyeing, and printing facilities, which allows them to maintain strict quality control measures and offer unparalleled services to customers. Our velvet fabrics are highly sought-after in both domestic and international markets, with an annual output of 2.5 million meters.
Our velvet fabrics are versatile and can be used for various purposes like curtains, cushions, bedding, clothing including ethnic wear like -dupattas, dresses, lehengas, and other products.
